Nderi Troops

The students and I went to see the Nderi Troops. They are a dance troupe based in Kampala. Their goal is to entertain and to preserve the tribal dances that are present throughout Uganda. The drummers were truly amazing. Here is my attempt to give you a taste. Enjoy!

Greetings from the Go ED Student Life Coordinators! We are excited that the Spring 2010 semester is off to a good start and welcome you to follow along as we blog about the adventures to come.

Aryn (Rwanda Coordinator) & Kate (Uganda Coordinator) caught in an unusual downpour of hail and rain

The students arrived on Sunday evening. After a day of orientation and recovering from jet-lag, classes began Tuesday morning. Class is held up the road at a fitness club, so students can jump in the pool or stop for ice cream at the end of the day...both attractive prospects in the hot & humid Kampala weather!
